Destiny | ideal processing characteristics

Early maturing and a fairly good heat tolerance

Destiny is in demand by crisp processors all year round due to its ideal processing characteristics, i.e. its specific round shape and medium tuber sizes, shallow eyes and high dry matter content.

It is a yellow skin potato, early maturing (90 days) and has a fairly good heat tolerance.

Plant description

Destiny has good initial development; it has dark green leaves and light to dark purple flowers. Destiny also has some heat tolerance and can also be grown in lower altitude areas.

Disease resistance/tolerance

A strict preventative spraying schedule against late blight is necessary as Destiny is susceptible to this.
